Reading a Score: treble and bass clef
A score looks complicated, but it is a map with a few simple rules. Learn the staff and the two clefs, and the page starts to make sense.
What you will learn
- The staff has five lines and four spaces
- Treble clef: the lines are E G B D F and the spaces are F A C E
- Where Middle C sits between the two hands
- Bass clef, for the left hand
- The grand staff, with both clefs together
